Biography

Polo Molina, having guided the careers of artists including The Black-Eyed Peas, will.i.am, Fergie, Gerardo Ortiz, Joan Sebastian, Paulo Londra, Luis Coronel, Ty Dolla $ign, Tyga and Afrojack, is acknowledged as a foremost pop/latin/hip-hop music manager. As an Emmy award-winning producer, tech investor, philanthropist, and live events founder and promoter, he continues to innovate across new media platforms and entrepreneurial opportunities. 
 
Molina played a key role in bringing together his childhood friends, will.i.am, Taboo and Apl.de.ap who became the global phenomenon: The Black Eyed Peas. With their creation -  came the formation of Grassroots Music. 

Molina has contributed to multiple GRAMMY-winning recording projects, as well as being the winner of an Emmy-Award for the “Yes We Can” viral video in support of Barack Obama, with a celebrated cast including Scarlett Johansson, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and John Legend.  

 

In the 90’s, Molina collaborated with local radio legends, The Baka Boyz, to create Cali Kings Marketing Group whose clients included Interscope, Coca-Cola,Universal, Sony, Pepsi, Capitol Records and Warner Music. By the end of that decade, Molina and friends had co-founded FreeStyle Session, an annual worldwide dance competition which celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2017. 

 

Polo Molina continues to conceive new outlets for his expertise. He advises company startups, ascending tech talent, and investments through SV ANGEL with a portfolio that includes Facebook, Pinterest, and Airbnb.  Philanthropy is and continues to be an essential part of his profile through the foundation, i.am.angel, dedicated to the progress of encouraging young minds from low-income neighborhoods of Los Angeles.  Molina has help transform lives through education, inspiration, and opportunity.

Polo is proud to have been a part of this viral video that spliced together clips of Barack Obama’s New Hampshire primary night speech and set it to music with celebrities singing along that won an Emmy award.
